Services must be billed with a primary diagnosis of preventive to be covered at 100%. For example, if your doctor suggests a pelvic or prostate exam because of your age, that’s preventive care. But if your doctor suggest a test to see what is causing your symptoms, that’s diagnostic care and you may need to pay part of the costs.
